Dewpoint, now a regular customer, has launched a new lab and put together a new team. So what could be more obvious than an event with hand and foot for the new team? For Elina from Dewpoint it almost goes without saying that this team also supports TheHandProject. So now four more hand prostheses are waiting to be shipped to Africa.
Since part of the hand prostheses made by the Dewpoint team in Dresden last year found their way into the presentation of “real people – true stories” together with their recipients in Nepal, this event received a special emphasis. It was moving for all participants to see how the help of their own colleagues works for the people in Nepal.

Xylem's water specialists from across Europe have teamed up for two online events this week to build far apart, yet together, prosthetic hands. In the first event, teams from all over Northern and Central Europe, from Norway to Slovakia and from Poland to France, put together around 50 prostheses at the same time and helped each other online over great distances.
We are pleased that after an event with selected employees, Xylem has now made it possible for a large number of employees to participate in TheHandProject. With both events combined, Xylem alone will contribute about a third of the hands needed for the next shipment to Africa. CSR commitment hands-on for the entire company - thank you, Xylem.

It is certainly clear to everyone that the Bundeswehr also has an IT department. However, very few will know that it is a powerful GmbH with several thousand employees. 28 of them met as part of a workshop outside the company premises and integrated a team building program into this event. Thanks to the commitment of project manager Katrin (name has of course been changed, but you know that you are meant) the Bundeswehr also chose TheHandProject.
Double thanks to Katrin, who would like to continue to support the project after the event. She will initially inspire other teams at BWI for the project and later perhaps come to a fitting event in Ghana. Many thanks for this enthusiasm!

At Ceramtec, one of the major manufacturers of technical and medical ceramics, there are not only seminars and training courses for (future) managers as part of a personnel development program, Ceramtec also offers this for specialist careers. A corresponding group dealt with TheHandProject in team building and assembled 4 hand prostheses as an evening (!!) program.
What was particularly exciting for us about this event was that the specialists included orthopedic and prosthesis technicians. Thanks for the interesting technical discussion.
There is also someone in the Ceramtec team that we would like to thank in particular for putting us in contact with a German organization that is building schools in The Gambia and may be making their contacts available for TheHandProject – thank you very much, Max!!

The world market leader in mass spectrometers, SCIEX, had on April 18th. called its sales and service teams in the DACH region (i.e. D, A & CH) together for the first "post-Cororna meeting". As with almost all companies, "finally meeting in person again" was at the top of the agenda and the team project of the conference should be one that creates something meaningful. Our offer TheHandProject was selected.
The 80 participants from the three countries (and some other nations) had agreed on English as the conference language, which is now standard for us. Since the available time window was not quite "usual", an adjustment of the program was necessary (almost always possible - just talk to us.)
A total of 16 hand prostheses will soon be on their way to Uganda, Ghana and/or Liberia. Thank you very much on behalf of the recipients.
A special thanks goes to SCIEX's DACH sales manager, who immediately recommended our program to colleagues in Spain and Portugal. Report from Malaga will follow soon.

Personnel consultants from various European locations met in the heart of Berlin, within sight of the Hackesche Höfe. In order to put the claim "we care harder" into practice, it was decided to integrate a team event with a social character into the conference program. The choice fell on TheHandProject.
During the event, those present left “their comfort zone” in more ways than one and dealt intensively with the fate of less privileged people in developing countries. 18 hand prostheses were put together over the roofs of Berlin - many thanks for that.

Lufthansa Global Meeting Sales
The annual meeting of Lufthansa's global sales organization took place as a face-to-face event after many online meetings (“finally again”, according to participants). The sales management had decided to integrate a social team event into the conference in order to broaden the perspective beyond the narrower sales topics. The in-house organization team then - after personal recommendations, by the way - brought the TheHandProject up for discussion and also put it on the agenda - many thanks for that at this point.
So we were invited to build hand prostheses with a highly international group of 300 (!) executives. Since international positions are also filled with international staff at Lufthansa, a large number of nationalities and languages were gathered in the room, who communicated using “English as the conference language”.
Groups formed by drawing lots were formed into functional teams within a few minutes and by the end of the day 72 hand prostheses had been assembled and donated. The organizational team, which continued to have all the threads and technology under control during the team event, will assemble three more prostheses in the coming week, so that a total of 75 "Lufthansa hands" will make their way to Africa.
We are particularly pleased about personal offers of help from the participants, to support TheHandProject with local knowledge and contacts at the locations in Nigeria and Uganda and perhaps also to provide one or the other "gap" in the freight utilization for TheHandProject. The announced posts on LinkedIn and XING, which will draw the attention of other decision-makers to our activities, are at least as valuable for TheHandProject. The first drafts were already discussed during the lunch that followed...
Place of action: the Lufthansa Hotel Seeheim, directly on the Bergstrasse.
Incidentally, the Lufthansa Hotel, located at Lufthansaring 1, is also open to external bookings.

The company Base Life Science wanted to assemble and donate 5 hand prostheses with 12 participants. The online event in English was a complete success, so we would like to say a big thank you to the entire team!

In Munich took place on 15.3. an online event with the team from Kopani Consulting. 3 hands could be assembled with the participants and are now also available for shipping to Ghana and Liberia. We're really glad!

"Lear" - almost immediately one thinks of business jets... But the products of the Lear Corporation are much more widespread - because here we are talking about car seats. At the Munich location, the European headquarters, the HR department invited to the team event and decided in favor of TheHandProject.
With a lot of passion and countless interested questions, the team got down to business and with success: Four hand prostheses assembled in a first-class manner in beautifully designed bags start their journey from Munich into the world.

150 IT executives from all over the world came to Vienna for the annual meeting of Next-Tech, the IT subsidiary of Allianz Versicherung. The logo of the conference was the AI hand, a symbol that artificial intelligence should take over part of the work in the future. What could be more obvious than to deal with a highly analogue hand as a contrast to the high-tech hand. 44 teams from a total of around 50 countries assembled a total of 44 hand prostheses. Above all, the unbelievable creativity in the design of the bags deserves respect at this event: 44 bags and not a single rainbow, but artistic design at its finest.
Many thanks to Allianz Insurance and Next-Tech.

For the company Fenix outdoor Logistics in Ludwigslust we have on 23.2. held an online event and assembled 3 helping hands with 12 employees. The team was super motivated and interested and we can prepare three more hand prostheses for the trip to Ghana!

Dispatch of Helping Hands as part of the Hand Project has started!
On January 30th, 2023, around 300 finished hand prostheses will be on their way
to Ghana! These are eagerly awaited there and at the moment we can't send out as many helping hands as are needed there...
30.01.2023
Another 100 hands were sent to Liberia on the same day
This delivery is also urgently needed there.
We hope that we will get a lot of pictures from the recipients with "your hand" and that we can send them to you soon!
At this point, many thanks again to all the companies who contributed with their social commitment in 2022 to the fact that we were now able to send over 400 hands for the Fitting Days.

In cooperation with the agency face to face from Cologne, we put together an overwhelming 70 helping hands for the Hand Project Berlin on June 15th, 2022 in Berlin with 350 employees from TAKEDA. The excellently planned and perfectly executed team building event made it possible to experience CSR with your own hands.
350 totally motivated and emotionally touched participants made this social event an absolute highlight for us too. The painted pockets for the hand prostheses can hardly be surpassed in terms of creativity! We would like to thank the agency face to face, who gave us back our belief in a professional event agency 😊, and of course our client and donor TAKEDA, who made such an event for the Hand-Project.Berlin possible in the first place. The standing ovation at the end of the event touched us deeply. NAMASTE!

On June 2nd, 2022, the journey went to Zurich, in Switzerland. A small team from Helvetia Insurance wanted to assemble and donate 5 hands and become a part of the big Hand Project Berlin. A very nice team welcomed us in Zurich and experienced very emotional moments. 5 hands from Switzerland will soon follow their journey
Uganda on. We would like to thank Helvetia!

On June 1st we accompanied a small team from Funke Services GmbH (a division of the FUNKE Mediengruppe) from Hamburg online at the team event for the Hand-Project-Berlin.de. 3 hands were assembled and donated. The special thing about it, which commands great respect from us: The manager of the team paid for the event privately out of her own pocket because she absolutely wanted to do the project together with her team. We have never experienced anything like this before and thank you very much for this gesture! NAMASTE!
20.05.2022
This event was already planned for December 17, 2021 in Düsseldorf. But then the Corona situation thwarted our planning again and the event was postponed to May 20th, 2022. Around 180 people were planned for 45 hand prostheses, so that almost all hands could be assembled at this English-language event with the Speira company, which has locations in Germany and Norway.
Another 45 hands can now travel to the next Fitting Day in Uganda and Somalia.
12.05.2022
On May 12, 2022, another hand project was scheduled in the middle of Berlin, in a hip working space at the main train station. The company EIT RawMaterials GmbH would like to assemble and donate 35 hand prostheses with 140 employees from all over the world (and mostly only English speaking). Even though the situation in the selected location presented us with challenges, there were only about 60 people in the end. This was the first and (hopefully) only event where not all hands were done, not all bags were painted and not all team photos could be taken... We will now finish everything and make sure that the people waiting in Ghana, Uganda and Somalia get those 35 hands.
10.05.2022
The Bähr engineers, in the middle of Berlin, discovered our "The Hand Project" and spontaneously decided to finally do a team event again, but this time to combine it with a good cause. So we packed 3 hand kits and set out to make 9 employees happy 😊 us too of course!!
These 3 hands will travel to Ghana and Somalia in the summer of 2022
17.04.2022
On April 17th, 2022 the time has finally come and we are leaving for NEPAL to adapt and give away about 110 hand prostheses that were assembled and donated as part of our "Hand Project". The preparations for such a trip with several fitting days are varied, the costs are high and the personal commitment is even greater. We planned almost 14 days to meet as many people as possible with problems in several places, to adjust their hands or to give them away.
A unique experience that makes you addicted to more such Fitting Days, because we not only gave away hands there, but also received touching moments and met impressive people.
The complete report and many, many pictures and impressions can be found here
07.04.2022
Our project was already known in Dresden, but due to developments over the last few years, all 22 colleagues should take part this time and have this extraordinary experience. So on April 7th, 2022 we went to Dresden with 5 hand kits and organized an English-speaking team event there.
5 hands from Dresden traveled to NEPAL after the end of April and were given away there.
31.03.2022
After we were able to hold a team event for the "Hand Project" in September 2021, our colleagues also wanted to experience this. 12 participants and 3 hands took part in our digital social event in Munich and had a lot of fun but also different insights...
These 3 hands from BCG were then taken to NEPAL in April 2022 and adapted and distributed there.
28.01.2022

On January 28, 2022, the team event with NetCentric also had to take place digitally.
The Corona situation still did not allow for face-to-face events. With 2 moderators, we were also able to confidently carry out this social team event for our social project "The Hand-Project".
